Surprise!

Whoopee, MT has a surprise for y'all! But first, a story. The other day I was at TDZ's message board, the Digital Evolution Forum, browsing around and minding my own business. I've been a member of that forum for a good three years, and after one departure and return, I have found my loyalty to it and its members to be stronger than ever. But, unlike the glory days when the forum was new, I felt something was wrong. There were too many members, too many posts, in too few organized boards. As a small message board, it was fine, but now that it was growing, the board set-up was getting out of control. Not to mention, the out-of-date conforums mainframe made things even harder to control, driving potential members away. Then and there, I knew something must be done. But what?

Now, there had been re-ordering of the boards in the past, but nothing drastic was to be done and I sensed there were already too many posts for that to be changed. The only solution was to start over. From scratch. And so I did. After multiple hours of hard work and great abuse of the copy-and-paste macros, my work was finished. DEF was reborn, and all for the better.

Don't worry, for those of you familiar with my past experiences on the old DEF, this isn't some villainous plot to take over the administration. Quite the contrary; I'm trying to HELP the administration, by making the boards easier to navigate and manage. 'Cause lets face it: the old forum was too cluttered, and conforums left no easy solution to cleaning it up. By moving the forum to Proboards, things will become much more organized, and friendlier to new members. I'm not forcing anyone to move to the new forum, and if no one does, then there's nothing easier than to stick with the old forum. I just think we should give this a try and see how it goes for a time; I really think a new location and a fresh start for the forum will bring bigger, better things.

Also, I don't have access to anything but the news on TDZ, so for now I'll have to just provide a link to the new forum in this article. Hopefully, if all goes well and people come to the new forum, the official link in the side bar can be re-directed. But until then, I give you...

The NEW Digital Evolution Forum

The moment we've all been waiting for!

Digimon Savers is finally being dubbed. It's American title will be Digimon Data Squad (better than "season five," right?), Tohma H. Norstein will be Thomas H. Norstein (*growls* I knew it...), Sunflowmon will be changed to Sunflowermon (...figures), and Miki and Megumi are now "the mini-skirt police" (WTF?). So... is this cause for celebration or panic?

Personally, I don't like any of these changes, but I admit they could be worse. There's a lot of stuff that could've been changed but wasn't, and for that I am grateful. Still... Thomas... *cries*

More info: http://www.toei-anim.com/

Oh, an interesting note... they switched all the characters' names to the western format (first name, last name) but Masaru's. I wonder if it was an error or intentional?

As some of you may know, there have been reports of a new V-Pet/Digivice, the Twin L & R, being released in Japan next March. Around the same time, two sequels to Digimon Story (known as Digimon World DS in the states), Digimon Story Moonlight and Digimon Story Sunburst, will also be released. There are rumors of this being a sixth series, to start when Savers ends. However, these are still just rumors and haven't been confirmed by an official source yet.

But with the Twins and Moonlight/Sunburst, two new Digimon (assumed to be Rookie/Child level) have been announced. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Lunamon and Coronamon!

The new theme song is called Hirari and is sung by Wada Kouji. This is the first time that a Digimon season has had a second opening theme song.
Hello everyone! I thought I'd suprise you all and make an update to the site. I was browsing animepaper.net the other day when I ran across a cute digimon wallpaper by two awesome people called Darkenfeathers and DOGGIEXLOVE. I liked it so much that I got their permission to put it on TDZ's wallpaper page. Scoot on over and check it out ^.^

Okay folks. Sorry about the absence of updates, the SATs and school got the best of me. I am working on the fanart comment problem, hopefully, it will be fixed soon. For now, try to use it, if it doesn't work, then leave it alone. I know of the problem, e-mails and comments are not necessary.

In lighter news, we've got three more fanarts! You know the drill.
